A Gruyere and Beaufort lovechild, Pleasant Ridge Reserve was dubbed a classic by the New York Times when it debuted in 2001 and went on to earn Best in Show at the American Cheese Society competition an unprecedented three times, a 2003 Championship Cheese award, and a Slow Food accolade to boot. At the end of the day, though, Pleasant Ridge Reserve just wants to be at home on your cheeseboard.

How to Pair Pleasant Ridge Reserve

Aged for 15-months, Pleasant Ridge Reserve pairs well with everything from brioche to a sweet spicy pear mostarda to dark milk chocolate. Its preferred tipples include the simultaneously sweet and bitter Gold Rush cocktail or a hearty breakfast stout. For its quieter moments, reishi mushroom tea hits the soft and sharp notes this cheese loves so well.
