Purple Door is Milwaukee’s local, hand-crafted ice cream maker, producing super-premium, hand-crafted ice cream using local, fresh and natural ingredients as much as possible. Our quality ice cream is made and sold in Milwaukee with both standard and unique flavors. Purple Door is also committed to supporting local businesses and promoting social and environmental responsibility through the making, marketing and sales of our products.
Having gone into business in April, 2011, Purple Door is a family business, owned, operated and managed by Lauren and Steve Schultz. Purple Door’s mission is driven by passion for ice cream, the community, and creating a local, honest business that customers can trust and enjoy.
Purple Door believes that staying local and supporting the community is essential for small businesses. 100% of the milk and cream used in Purple Door ice cream comes from Wisconsin Dairies. Currently, Purple Door also partners with over 10 local businesses to source ingredients for the ice cream.
Purple Door is committed to supporting non-profit social, environmental and educational programs in Milwaukee. With every container of Purple Door Ice Cream sold, a portion of the profits goes to Milk for Milwaukee, Purple Door’s community initiative that works with area homeless shelters to provide fresh milk for the residents. Our hope is as we grow so will our impact on this community and the people within.
