The Weyauwega story began over 100 years ago, in 1912, when Edward and Pauline Knaus set out to create Wisconsin’s finest cheese. They carefully crafted a variety of quality cheeses from the finest ingredients; the most important being family pride. As their cheese making businesses grew, the family also grew into second, third, and now fourth generations, and each has been involved in different aspects of dairy farming and cheesemaking. Although much has changed, each generation has been united in their shared commitment to producing Wisconsin’s Finest. Today, the family still begins their work with milk from local family dairy farms, manufactures products in state-of-the-art facilities, and concentrates on sourcing and distributing Wisconsin’s Finest cheese throughout the U.S. Weyauwega understands that the word Weyauwega may be difficult to pronounce. Just remember: It's "Y-O-WE-GA” - or, "Wisconsin’s Finest".
